Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Ambattur - Redhills Road, Surapet, Chennai -66, the leading Institution with the foresight of creating an innovative child centered teaching and learning environment, enlightens and recuperates human values in the minds of children. The institution had a very humble beginning in 2000 and today stands tall and proud. The school is a co-educational English medium school preparing the students on Matriculation curriculum from Classes 1 to 10 and for State Board exams for classes XI and XII respectively.
 
In Velammal-Surapet, the differences may be many, but the bond of brotherhood links all together. Openness is a feeling that comes with space. Education broadens the horizon with its ‘exposure’ of knowledge. When the cobweb of ignorance is removed and the light of knowledge pierces through, the darkness of ignorance is driven out. All these are done, without making learning a burden at Velammal.

The students coming from various segments of the society are being provided a synergized brain compatible learning environment using latest technology tools like Educomp Smartclass, Heymath and Blackboard LMS Software.

In Velammal – Surapet, there is a strong relationship between the teacher and students. Teachers are true friends, philosophers and guides to the students. The school has created an atmosphere, where discipline becomes the second nature of the child.
